No. Like it or not he’s the champion since Loma gave him the belt and worked with his promoter to get the franchise designation.

Haney should get a unification fight before Loma gets his mando.

That is what Loma did to Haney. Same should be done to Loma.

Yes. Loma unified titles instead of fighting mandatory Haney IN 2 YEARS. Kambosos has no unifications left, he is undisputed. When he beats Haney he still stays WBC Franchise.
Loma lost when he tried to unify all the belts. He gave Haney the wbc belt before that.

Kambosis absolutely should fight a unification with Haney before he makes mando defense against Loma.

I expect all the people that have posted that to stand up and demand Kambosis fight Haney in a unification fight rather than the mandatory defense with Loma.
I mean... that is fair. I want to see Lomachenko against Kambosis more, but the Haney fight makes more sense for legacy. It should be the preferred fight.

Tired of these old heads messing it up for the younger generation of fighters.
I think that Lomachenko's Amateur record, and the fact that he has had a stellar pro record since his very first pro fight, showed no "sense of entitlement". He IS entitled, if it comes to that. He's the better fighter, the better to watch, and the better attraction for PPV sales and box office.

I suppose you know that in his second pro fight, with Salido, Salido was a welterweight at 147 lbs outweighing Lomachenko by 17 lbs. and if Salido had been properly watched by the very worst ref in boxing, he would have been DQ ;d after a couple of rounds. As it was he barely won a split Decision, won by his 50-60 low blows.

The guy, fighting well over his natural weight class, is a boxing celebrity up with the top boxers in history.

Why would they do that...They want the BEST fights...or should. After all, boxing is part of the entertainment business. And a Lomachenko fight would be by far the most entertaining, and most successful for the cash box.

Nobody can deny that...and be taken seriously.

Your amateur record shouldn’t entitle you to a title fight in just your second pro fight and again in your 3rd after losing your second. He was actually demanding a title shot in his very first pro fight having done nothing as a pro at that point. That’s 100% entitlement. I know all the reasons about why he lost to salido but at the end of the day, he still lost. Later on, he lost his belts to teo and made excuses as to why. Prior to that he took the franchise title instead of facing Haney. So now that Haney is up for a real title fight, loma wants to skip the line again. Sorry but that’s not fair no matter how much you may love him. Let the young guy get his shot and then try and fight the winner as opposed to trying to skip ahead of the guy that you previously passed on fighting.

Even if he magically beats Loma which i can not see happening he achieves nothing.
Come on man , beating Lomachenko is a huge achievement , belt or no belt. Kambosos shoukd fight Haney though , like you said at keast there he has a small chance of winning. If Kambosos is smart he will get a rematch clause so he can get another payday. I don't see him beating Haney or Lomachenko , but this is boxing , the theater of the unexpected.

No of course it is but what apart from recognition and self fulfilment i suppose does he get? Teo beat Loma now look at how everyone views him less than 2 years after the fight. Kombosos has to attempt to make History and become undisputed. that accomplishment can never be taken away from him if he wins. i was simply comparing that accomplishment to just getting a win over Loma which he wouldnt anyway. I agree with your assertions
