If it gets changed to anything(which I doubt it)... It would only be NC. I didn't see the fight but some of you are making it out to be a close fight that you felt like McDermott won... I don't think its gonna be changed.

yep i agree the best mcdermott can hope for is a NC, but he probably wont get it.
The ref needs shot for his score though. i thought it was close i had it 6-4 to mcdermott, but one round either way from that would have been acceptable to me. only giving mcdermott 2 rounds was disgusting. He got paid to make sure Fury won the fight.Comment

I see Maloney is calling for the result to be reversed or changed to a NC

A furious Frank Maloney has called for Tyson Fury's controversial win over John McDermott to be overturned.
The promoter has labelled referee Terry O'Connor's 98-92 score for the English heavyweight title 'a scandal' and demanded the British Boxing Board of Control launch an a public enquiry.
He says chairman Charles Giles has agreed to review the Brentwood showdown, which was shown live on Sky Sports, and wants Fury's victory to be scratched from the record and McDermott awarded the win - or the fight ruled a no-contest.
"This is something the Board cannot brush under the carpet," said Maloney. "I am going to ask that any enquiry into the fight is held in public - not behind closed doors like a gentleman's club.
"That way there are no secrets and the public can see that the self appointed governing body are open and fair with all licence holders. It will also help restore confidence after this debacle.
"If The Board think they can order a rematch and that I will then go away happy then they can think again."
According to O'Connor, McDermott won just two rounds in a pulsating contest that when the scheduled 10.
Sky Sports analyst Jim Watt even ventured to suggest they had got the scores round the wrong way when the decision was announced and Maloney says the public response demands something be done.
"When I paid a record purse for an English title fight I expected fair play. I never got it, paying customers never got it, Sky television viewers never got it and most of all John never got it."
"I was in my office at 8.30am on Sunday morning and one of my e-mail boxes was full of comments about the decision. There has been mass support from posters on numerous internet sites who are angry over the result.
"I was even stopped during a shopping trip on Saturday afternoon and when I went to my local Chinese restaurant later in the evening with people asking what the scoring was all about.
"National Sunday newspapers have even given the scandal coverage as it is obvious John McDermott has suffered an injustice. This isn't just going to go away and I won't allow it to until justice is done."Comment

reminds me of wladimir klitschkoOriginally posted by CarnivoreI thought it was a close fight that Fury won 96-94.
The commentator Watt was nuthugging his fellow Scotsman McDermott throughout the fight and may have sold some viewers on the idea that McDermott won, but all he did was throw an occasional punch and hold. He turned his back as if to quit twice in the last round as if to quit. Fury showed his inexperience, but overall he did okay and overcame the adversity.
Watt's scoring was as bad as O'Connor's - Fury CLEARLY won the last round. The real score was halfway in between Watt's and O'Connors.Comment
