LMAO, ahahahahha. Pacman777 you're a funny dude. At 147 , a prime DLH would beat the living crap out of Pacquiao. Remember it is the DLH who fought Trinidad, Chavez, and Ike Quartey. This DLH is super fast, has much more power, and much more skills than Pacquiao.
Next time what will you say? Pacquiao KOs prime Trinidad and prime Whitaker round 1?Comment

I agree with Pacquiao beating that version of Oscar, but it'd be a lot closer. Similar to how Mayweather-DLH was actually. You could tell Roach had really studied that fight. Mayweather's best punches in that fight were when he'd throw the lead right hand and then dip under neath and circle to get out of the way. Pacquiao had great sucess with that and probably would have won.
That being said I think Oscar is a good win for Floyd and was still a good fighter. DLH threw a lot of **** that missed. Also I think the reason why Oscar stopped throwing the jab was because everytime Floyd would start to jab with him and then leave the left hand out right in his face and Oscar couldn't see the distance.
So he stopped throwing the jab as often that was coming out in round 2 or 6.Comment

Just re-watched Oscar v Floyd the other day. At first I thought there is no way Pac would be able to cope with the 160+lb DLH that fought Floyd. I now realise the outcome of a Pac/DLH fight where DLH weighed his usual 154lbs would have been the same. DLH was not shot against Floyd but I had forgotten how diminished his skills were. He was barely throwing any shots at all in the second half of the fight, although his defense against Floyd's shots was pretty good - he allowed Floyd to easily tap him to the body and then come back upstairs with the right. I have no doubt at all that Pac would have produced the same results against that DLH as he did against the version that he fought. DLH showed nothing in the FLoyd fight that Pac wouldn't have answered with a devastating series of left hands that DLH simply couldn't block.
Just had to get that out there.
roach would never let pac fight a prime dlh.Comment

Very true. Some of you have brought up De La Joto's past fights with Tito, Ike, Vargas.
Well, how about his fights with Shane, Pernell and Floyd. All lil quick/slick fighters and Joto has never ever figured out the southpaw stance. PAC may not be the cutie slickster Floyd and Pernell were, but PAC has turned into a slick fighter in his own right.
of course, there's a higher chance of PAC getting tagged because he engages more, but, I've personally seen PAC move around the ring(I was literally watching him from outside the ropes at WCG) and his movements are very unpredictable, it's like trying to chase a mouse, the way he zig-zags all over that ring at a dizzying pace.
PAC's slickness is not so much upper body movement(its actually gotten alot better, even Steward was impressed), but in his footwork and a prime DLH would've had problems with it.
If PAC beats Cotto in a grueling fight, then I would have no doubts in my mind that he would be very game against a prime De La Joto.
P4P, prime PAC would beat prime De La Joto. Imagine if Pernell would've engaged De La Joto more in their fight, he would've given Oscar a butt whuppin' .Last edited by We want Floyd; 09-14-2009, 04:47 PM.Comment
