  • I only read first paragraph, did not read the round by round coverage because you list rounds again ass-backwards, the fight does not start in round 12 the fight start in round 1, what is wrong with you, do start to watch a movie at the end ???? read a book backwards ??

    • So is Tank mire powerful than Keith "Once Upon a Time" Thurman? Did the WBC make this fight a title eliminator? What happened to Avanesyan? Did Thurman leap frog Avanesyan, to become Spence's mandatory? Please say it ain't so! Thurman vs. Avanesyan! MAN UP!

      • I had a free link, but was only glancing at it every now and then while watching the Cuadras vs Rodriguez fight. Keith looked good beating up a lightweight. The fight didn't show at all what he would look like against even a lower level welterweight. Keith is back? I guess that is what PBC wants you to think.

        • Very good performance by Keith Thurman; It's perhaps the healthiest he's been and the best he's looked in more than five years. Both His timing, conditioning and accuracy were back as well as his foot work. They were superb. He looked like vintage Keith. Great job!

          • Run-Time in FULL effect against a B-level, slow, previously ko’d, average power overmatched Barrios. Thurman CONTENT to go the distance- nothing new - same old Keith. Whoever paid for this meaningless gargage of a ppv - hope u got your $75 worth…now about that bridge for sell…

            • If Barrios can hurt Thurman, just think what big WW like Boots Ennis or Spence would do to him.

Is Thurman really a WBC mandatory now, after just one win against a junior welterweight, who was stopped in his last fight by a lightweight? WTF over?

Hard to give a guy slack, considering he perpetually runs his mouth, yet rarely backs up his talk. He’s the Kingry Garcia of the WW division.

                • Barrios should either stick to journeyman fights or find a different career. He's had his head knocked in for 2 straight fights. For Thurman, as others have mentioned, he was in great shape, even better than 6 or 7 years ago. Could he hang with Spence, Ugas, Boots, etc remains to be seen. However aren't all of them PBC fighters? If so, the matchups shouldn't be too hard to set up.

I think the last one I bought was Lewis vs Tyson LOL! Too easy to watch fights for free these days, why spend the $70+ to line promoters pockets?
I'd be very interested to see the numbers and demographics of who exactly is shelling out $75 for this kind of contest. The fight itself was perfectly fine as a comeback fight. But as a PPV it was totally perplexing as to how it had any appeal (and to who). PPVs should only be for BIG fights -- which means a fight between two big fighters. This didn't even have one.
