Hopefully this guy Barrett (maybe someone can post some of his fights in the downloads section) who I have never seen fight before gives a better performance than the most overhyped contender ever Danny Williams.

I saw Barrett against Owen Beck and I wasn't very impressed. I think he's slow for his size and lunges too much, he looked much better against Mesi, later in the fight when he was boxing and using the ring. I don't think he would have a much better chance than me, and I'm not even a heavy lol. Seriously though, it's gonna be ugly.

The crux of this thread 'rahamn is a fool'

unless he's been promised something against byrd, i can't believe he's not taking the $1.5m and having a go!

Barrett might be in for the fight of his life. He stands a very slim chance against quitali, and will eat straight heavy punches. I figure he can survive for a while, slipping and moving; but when he gets caught, its downhill from there. VK does not change his style, and he is going to dictate the pace of the fight. Barrett's only shot.

is to attack Vitali from the opening bell, and incite a war.

There is absolutely no way he can outbox quitali, or stay on the outside. He is WAY too big, strong, and skilled.

Goddammit, this is a crock of ****. Why no match against another title-holder, or even Golotta? And failing that, how about Toney? Barrett stands ABSOLUTELY no ****ing chance at winning this fight, and will end up getting starched in less than 3 rounds. Just what I wanted to see, another ****ing mis-matched heavyweight card. What a bunch of chicken-**** ****suckers.

These *******s are ****ing up my boxing year.

And the heavyweight sucking just continues. At this point I'm convinced that everyone is afraid of Vitali a.k.a. Lurch.

Rahman is an idiot for turning down that cash. Vitali KO 4 over Barret

Even if Vitali KO Barrett this will be a good finacial option for him. I think also that Barrett can still be high in the IBF ranking and have a straight title shot over there.

I agree. Byrd as shown by the Wlad fight is all talk, and now we have Rahman. Ruiz was calling out Vitali before his fight with Williams and then after the fight he was silent. And Toney was really quiet when the WBC all of the sudden took away his mandatory position to fight VK.

Yawn. Jane Louise, calling out the heavyweight champion? Easily boxings most boring moment.

You could take a "snapshot" of the HW division, and fall asleep before you take the picture.
