Oleksandr Usyk (and Loma) seem to be on the pro-Russian side of this situation. It's crazy how two of this century's greatest heavyweight champions (the Klitschko brothers) might pick up arms and fight in this while, at the same time, a fellow countryman and three-belt heavyweight champion (Usyk) may be on the other side.

Vitali attended Usyk's win over Joshua and climbed up on the ring apron to congratulate him. But their exchange seemed very reserved and guarded.

I can't recall a time in my life when top boxing champions were on different sides of (and some may fight in) a possible global conflict. I remember when Arguello fought with the Contras against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, but there wasn't another champ from Nicaragua on the other side.

Seems like this might be the first time since WWII with folks like Louis and Schmeling.

    Crazy times.

I think.

Sergey Khomitsky for instance - a belorussian - became Siarhei Khamitski even though the pronoucination of his name stayed exactly the same.
The Ukraine has their own language that differs from Russian though so the pronunciations are different. I think the same goes for Belarus where they speak Belarusian aside from Russian. They are similar but they still have differences it's like comparing Arabic from Sudan to Yemen.

UK, USA etc are whipping up a storm because our countries are in a ****ing mess and its a good distraction for the politicians, even the Ukrainian president told ***** to calm the **** down and stop stirring ****. all this is a big fuss over nothing

For me, when you quit it’s what you do after it, that defines your legacy as a “quitter” or not.

For example, Duran quit against Ray but then proved he had tremendous head by going 15 with Hagler, beating Barkley at 160 etc. Conversely Golota quit and then quit gain and consistently looked for a way out of fights so proved he clearly lacked of heart. Vitali is closer to Duran than he is Golota in that respect.
Golota was winning, he was just a numpty.
