he won't be the most physical, but he's probably the biggest puncher at this stage.

he's not that much bigger than pac and I can't see him pulling the trigger enough against a mobile guy like Pac. Even Shane stands still a lot of the time.

A shut out or stoppage is probably what will happen, I can't see Cotto doing more than Pacquiao even for one round.

aight, i see what u did but check out their hands in that pic (or any other pic for their press conferences)....thats their true sized hands also...i checked out pics in all their press conferences and cotto has these "really tiny hands" lmao....like in the burger king commercials hahah....he should be used in their next commercial cuz he might be too scared to hold such a big burger at burger king and rather go to mcdonalds lol....

but on a serious note, pacquiao has always had bigger hands than many of his opponents from ppl that like to go further into the "tale of the tape" stats...in the de la hoya fight he also had bigger hands and that amazed boxing writers and commentators, since oscar is like 4-5 inches taller than manny....

so all these ppl saying that cotto is the better puncher is definitely crazy bc pacquiao has always been regarded as a big puncher through out his entire career (and thats how he got his original top rankings on the pound for pound list...oh and there is a tape out there when pac was ranked 2nd after floyd, with mayweather saying that he also believes pac is ranked 2nd after him..and that was just after the 2nd morales fight)

every boxer knows that when size doesnt make a difference, the stronger legs, the size of the hands, and strength play a huge role in who is the better puncher...so cotto will be the "heavier handed" guy in this fight but all the attributes of a big puncher could very well be going to the filipino slugger...

i personally love this fight and to me its definitely a toss up as to who will win but from being a long time boxing fan, u have to admire pacquiao for always fighting the toughests opponents and bringing up the competition is his next fights...

that being said, mayweather is definitely a great fighter but he needs to take bigger risks (especially if he wants that pound for pound ranking)...to prove my point when he fought carlos baldomir (i saw the fight, but who the **** is that really lol) the title of the fight was called "pretty risky" lol..then he fought oscar...floyd has said though that he signed a contract with golden boy saying that he will fight at least 5 fights in his comeback so hopefully he picks better opposition!!!...to me, its just nothing but great news for boxing and i cant wait for all these bigger fights in the future!!!
A good honest post, friend. Big up, but I have to disagree with you on two factors. One, the hand wraps and equal sized gloves (oz.), pretty much neutrealize the hand size issue, because the padding in the gloves is equal for both (Unless Panama Lewis is involved, lol), and the only thing making a difference is the strength of the arm propelling that glove towards the other boxer. Two, I like Manny, don't get me wrong, and I've stated on this forum many times that I have nothing but love and respect for the Pinoys (having a daughter in the Phillippines), but Mannys fights have been against great fighters who were pretty much on th downslope of their illustrious careers.

There is a difference between the Marco Antionio Barrera that fought Pac to the the one that fought much earlier in his career, same with Eric Morales, Oscar de la Hoya, and even Ricky Hatton. Manny's good, I know this for a fact, But Cotto's just as good in his own right and in his own boxign style. I think this will definitely be Manny's hardest fight to date, and in all honesty, I see it as a 50 50 toss up. It could go either way. Both fighters are bringing their greatest attributes to the ring that night, and many myths, speculations and doubts will be either exposed or confirmed. Again, great post amigo.

roach is just telling everyone that he believes cotto is too big and strong and pac won't be able to KO cotto.
