  • Comments Thread For: Nikita Tszyu To Turn Pro Atop March 2 Fox Sports Australia Card in Brisbane

The youngest of the Tszyu boxing family is set to embark on his pro journey. Nikita Tszyu will make his pro debut in grand fashion, headlining a March 2 Fox Sports Australia show live from Brisbane Convention Centre in Brisbane, Australia. The event was formally announced Wednesday (local time), along with a lineup that includes former title challenger Dennis Hogan and Wade Ryan in a billed IBO junior middleweight title eliminator.

Crazy that this card would even be considered for PPV (and that's from someone living in a country asking fans to pay $75 to see Thurman vs Barrios) .

Interesting not see where young Nikita takes his career. With a degree in architecture and describing himself as a butcher to his brother's surgeon, I wouldn't expect quite much. I guess we'll see.

Well, I like the butcher to the surgeon much more than the neurosurgeon to the surgeon . Coming from anyone else this would have sounded like bragging, but Nikita has the DNA on his side.

Who knows, maybe we can get the Charlos vs the Tszyus tournament?

Another Tszyu, wow. Maybe he's really good and exciting.

If not, he has a degree in architecture, so can do that to fall back on.

Good point! What's interesting is that when I read it, I kinda got a different take. To me it sounded like he was saying he's not quite as skilled as Tim but makes up for it with aggression.

I remember first learning about his old man in a Ring Magazine article, it was a little harder back then to follow overseas fighters. I remember thinking that he reminded me of Tung Po from the Van Damme Kickboxer movie (because of his pony tail and the calculated aggression). That showdown with Zab Judah was something I will never forget. It was like Kostya hit him with a Taser to the brain.

He looks more feisty than his big bro and dad. Youngest kids in the family tend to be more bold and aggressive from getting punked by older brothers while growing up. I bet he has an aggressive style.
