For me fighters that over come adversity in the ring JMM and JCalzone spring to mind.

add yours.........PBF seems mentally tough and insecure at the same time..............guy feeds on hate.....but he seem to be very confident of his ability ..... but when the boxing media doesnt agree about his "greatness" ..... hes like a child throwing tantrums...........imo
pac has always been distracted, ever since the wins against morales.
1.) Miguel Cotto- Doesn't let a cut bother him, fights pretty intelligently(knows when to run when he is ahead)
2.) Shane Mosley-did what no man ever has been able to do and executed the perfect game plan. I never thought of him as a cagey fighter but that win over Marg was huge.
3.)Hozumi Hasegawa-underrated intelligence, picks his spots wisely, when he realizes he can't KO you, he'll box you. Very versatile fighter.

Andrew Golota! Just kidding. Hagler did seem like a mentally tough fighter, but not so much in his last fight. Leonard also seemed like a mentally tough guy, he was seriously behind against Hearns the second time but rallied back in the last round.

I think lack of mental strength was what also prevented Hearns to become the ultimate fighter, the greatest ever.

Froch showed a lot of toughness, both physical and mental, in the Taylor fight.

Chris Eubank was also very tough mentally. And Nigel Benn, since he had no problem whatsoever with going to America and fighting all the top challengers there. At least in the beginning he did.
