You didn’t think your comment through. Canelo even though he has a strap at light heavy, is a natural 154/160 lb fighter given his height and frame.

168 is already a stretch and is coming in as the smaller man all the time.
Height doesn't determine what weight you should be fighting at. And he was a natural 154/160 pounder years ago, until he kept growing. He was always meant for at least 160, as you could see how much weight he put on after weigh ins. He was able to cut more weight when he was younger (naturally or unnaturally). No shock that now he's fighting at a more comfortable weight.

¿U do know that theother offer is Bivol, right?

Not only that, you do know that the frontrunner per Salvador Rodriguez is Bivol, right?

Call me crazy, I still think 40 years old GGG gives Canelo a tougher fight than Charlo.

So PBC is shouldering the sky-high guarantee of the Mexican superstar again.
Did they even get a return of their investment in the Caleb Plant fight?
They're spending double the amount they spend in the Fury/Wilder fights.

I understand the GGG triology needs time to marinate...and so does GGG himself, like dry-aged beef.

A gift means he was clearly losing (not close fight) even with a knockdown, clearly losing and they gave the win to Canelo.

So you think Canelo was losing the fight even with a knockdown? You’re saying it wasn’t even close, that it was a landslide and Trout should have won. If it was close it’s not a robbery, you’re saying Canelo was actually losing. Laughable. You’re straight up lying.

Youre ***ing full of shiiiit. My ass Trout was robbed.
No one in this world actually thought that Trout beat Canelo, I did not quote that dude because you can tell he doesn't even believe what he says.

Intent for GGG trilogy? The time to make that was three years ago. Too late now, GGG will be 40 soon, going up against a prime version of Canelo. Canelo needs to focus on Charlo, and the current champions at 175.

I believe he was given a gift against Lara and Trout, even though he knocked Trout down. Although champions, Callum Smith, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant aren't A+ fighters and he was expected to beat all of them. Kovalev was already shot. To be considered a great fighter, he has to test himself against fighters, that he probably will beat, but the expectation of winning won't be as high as the afore mentioned fighters. Benavidez is in his weight class, Beterbiev and Bivol is one weight class above, of which Canelo already held a belt, but something tells me that his next fight won't be against any of the three. Like the article said, it probably will be Charlo or GGG (past his prime), fighters below his weight or Makubu. He's a very good fighter but I'm not falling into the hype that he's the best. If he fight Benavidez, Beterbiev, and Bivol, and beats at least two of them, then I'll jump on the bandwagon. Until then, he's just an A fighter, not A+.
You disected Canelo's resume. Now tell us who, in all of boxing, has a better one?

I'm not against the fight. It could be a good one. My beef is the hypocrisy of some of the posters here. Charlo doesn't even have one fight at supermiddle. Not that he can't fight there competitively, but facts are facts. Canelo will beat him at 168.

The hypocrisy is when Davis is criticized for 'cherrypicking' Leo Santa Cruz. Hypocrites shrink Leo all the way to flyweight, ignoring that the guy was the current 'WBA champion' at 130 and Gervonta came down to meet him there, not at 135. Leo looked bigger than Davis during the fight.

I'd like to see Canelo-Charlo at middle. That's what the so-called P4P crap should be all about (if they were the same weight). Not just moving up to cherrypick, but moving down, too.

I think Canelo can make 160. Can Canelo beat Charlo at 160? Not sure.
