" Outside of former two-time super middleweight titlist David Benavidez, who never lost his titles in the ring, little resistance remains in the division."

This is what I dont get. Benavidez is ranked and proven at 168 not to mention hasn't lost his title in the ring but Charlo and GGG are bigger better fights and they haven't ever fought at 168. I would eventually like to see Canelo and Charlo but the GGG fight is out of date. Why in the hell would we wanna see that before a Benavidez fight? I don't anyway. In my humble opinion David Benavidez is the 1 question mark for Canelo left at 168.

Another 15-1 no hoper. Charlo has never fought at 168 that makes this fight worse than the Plant fight and that fight was a joke.

Benavidez and Canelo’s fans are basically the same fan. Even though I know Canelo’s going to win I want to see this fight. I think the pre fight build up will be great.
You can get 10x more soap opera for men fakery "pre fight buildup" in WWE with the same forgone conclusion.

Although champions, Callum Smith, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant aren't A+ fighters and he was expected to beat all of them. Kovalev was already shot. To be considered a great fighter, he has to test himself against fighters, that he probably will beat, but the expectation of winning won't be as high as the afore mentioned fighters. Benavidez is in his weight class, Beterbiev and Bivol is one weight class above, of which Canelo already held a belt, but something tells me that his next fight won't be against any of the three. Like the article said, it probably will be Charlo or GGG (past his prime), fighters below his weight or Makubu. He's a very good fighter but I'm not falling into the hype that he's the best. If he fight Benavidez, Beterbiev, and Bivol, and beats at least two of them, then I'll jump on the bandwagon. Until then, he's just an A fighter, not A+.
That was not a win either, more like a draw. First fight with GGG he lost that

So you haven’t figured out that Beterbiev, Bivol and Joe Smith would be “cherry-picking” Canelo because according to you fighting a 160lber is cherry-picking due to the weight jump.

You didn’t think your comment through. Canelo even though he has a strap at light heavy, is a natural 154/160 lb fighter given his height and frame.

168 is already a stretch and is coming in as the smaller man all the time.

Solid fight, Charlo to me has the proverbial puncher's chance.

I predict a cagey fight from Canelo with not too much action, early on at least. Canelo will probably start to find the range as the fight goes on and will land some good body shots. I expect Charlo to just hang on and finish the fight, like Smith, or get broken down late like Plant and BJS.

No way can I say Charlo winning, legitimately, or on any sane person's card. He does have a shot to hurt and possibly stop Canelo but wouldn't bet on that.

                  A gift against Trout? Wtf?

A gift means he was clearly losing (not close fight) even with a knockdown, clearly losing and they gave the win to Canelo.

So you think Canelo was losing the fight even with a knockdown? You’re saying it wasn’t even close, that it was a landslide and Trout should have won. If it was close it’s not a robbery, you’re saying Canelo was actually losing. Laughable. You’re straight up lying.

Youre ***ing full of shiiiit. My ass Trout was robbed.

I know a lot of people think Charlo did well vs Derevy. I thought it was an even fight.

Even with that, I'm not sure how someone can list him at probably number 1 at MW. Andrade has done just as much at 160, and GGG still has his recent fights with Canelo as a feather in his cap.

For Charlo, Montiel was very underwhelming, to not dominate and stop a guy like that. Adams was similar. Korobov was a very close fight. And then he has Hogan and Centeno (who is garbage, let's be honest).

I think Charlo has a puncher's chance vs most guys around 160. But he is pretty clearly the least skilled guy around that weight. If he can't hurt you then it's going to be a really hard fight for him, vs pretty much anyone with top 20 boxing skills in a weight class.
