It's quite close odds - Thurman is a slight favorite 1.57 - I was thinking of betting against Thurman due to his age and inactivity but theirs YT vids saying he is looking in great shape, very active. Plus apparently he already did all his weight loss weeks ago. So I think his timing will be off at the beginning of the fight plus he starts slow. Best odds might be on a Barrios stoppage early rounds or a Thurman stoppage mid to late. Thurman decision is a good odds as well and considering he hasn't stopped anyone since 2015 - but, now he says he has no injuries and Barrios is not hard to find so ....

If he could have thrown more at the time, then he would have done. There’s a reason he didn’t. The body’s very good at telling you what your limits are, even when you’re not conscious of them.

I’m guessing he was conserving energy without realising, after a long time out. Or else, he couldn’t punch his way through his hand pain. I don’t know

k I got something recent with the current landscape, after seeing Thurmans form vs Lopez, PBC cashed him out with Pac, Crawford may sign with TMT..bud has more upside n a w over thurman will properly build a bigger
            fight.
            this ppv making sense considering

Indeed, if that's all true, my temptation right now is going for Thurman within four. The odds are beautiful over there...

Thurman “known for his power”?? One ko since 2014…average power at best.

Thanks! Yeah, I just think this is one of those things where he's saying all the right things and looks the part but when the time comes, the body will no longer be willing. He has had so many injuries, layoffs, weight gains, and life changes that it has to catch up eventually. Add to that that he's been in his share of physically taxing fights and he's old in ring years.

It reminds me of another fighter not too long ago but I just can't think of the name. I also think Barrios will benefit from going to 147 since he was huge for 140.
