Are you really attempting to make a defence for Canelo facing Yildrim and Makabu here? The guy is supposed to be P4P number 1 and at the peak of his career (although in reality a convicted PED cheater and prolific catchweight fighter could never be P4P number 1)

I quite fancied Mchunu going into the fight last night, went with Makabu in the prediction league though as with the Canelo fight looming for him and couldn't see him losing if it went to the scorecards.

I have no horse in this race. To be frank boxing is becoming a bit of a turn off for me, what with all the politics, proliferation of meaningless titles, champions avoiding facing worthy competition, big fights not coming off due to warring promotional factions etc....

A poster by the name of "budfr" referred to Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. As a monkey. Not been signed yet? Then why did Mchunu get robbed last night? Why did Canelo and Makabu embrace at the WBC convention? Its a done deal - all Makubu had to do was avoid being knocked out and he had the fight guaranteed...

When you are listed as P4P number one you are expected to fight the best just as previous ones like Floyd Mayweather Jr, Andre Ward and Roman Gonzalez all did. Canelo is not doing this. In addition, none of the above had ever, at any point, been convicted for taking PEDs either by ingesting them, intravenously introducing them or both. Canelo has.

If you're trying to take a dig at Golovkin there let me tell you that GGG is a middleweight ATG. He will be 40 years old in April and has reached the pinnacle of both amateur and professional boxing. As such he has earned the right to fight whoever he wants in the final stages of his career. Don't forget the world has already seen Golovkin unofficially defeat Canelo in the first fight and get done dirty in the rematch. Golovkin out landed Canelo in 8 of the 12 rounds of the rematch and his back didn't touch the ropes at any point in the fight (despite Canelo groupies claiming he was "backed up") while Canelo's back touched the ropes twice. Even more telling was 56% of press row scoring the fight for GGG, 38% scoring it a draw but only 6% favouring Canelo... lol.

you would think canelo cant possibly fight makabu now after this horrible robbery, but lets remember no one knew who makabu was before this fight, and no one saw this fight. it will be marketed as a fight against a champ in a bigger division and thats that. canelo already did the same thing vs callum smith or whatever his name was when he lost to ryder. average idiot canelo fan has no clue hes cherry picking or they dont care and will pretend its amazing full well knowing its crap
