Comments Thread For: Robson Conceicaio: Scores Of The Valdez Fight Were Ridiculous; I Won 8 Or 9 Rounds

Robson Conceicao believes he, not Oscar Valdez, should own the WBC super featherweight title. Four months later, the 130-pound contender still cannot believe Valdez was awarded a victory over him in their 12-round title fight. Conceicao is convinced he thoroughly out-boxed Valdez, who wasn't nearly as impressive versus the previously unbeaten Brazilian than he was when he knocked out countryman Miguel Berchelt in the 10th round of his prior bout.

You're the dumbass that decided you had done enough by the 6th rd and started prancing around show boating. Should've stepped on the gas and closed out the show giving the judges no choice but to give you the nod. Not that that would've been the case but still....

I had Conceiçaio winning that fight 7-5. Valdez looked like caca. Stevenson is bout to beat the brakes off Oscar when/if Valdez signs that contract. ....tea or no tea

I had it 115-112 like the two judges and Boxingscene had it.

Yeah I remember watching that fight thinking what the hell is he thinking. He ain’t getting any younger at 33 he should have went all out in the championship rounds.

As I recall, I had Conceicao winning but it was a close one. I'm thinking he started gassing a bit and was affected by a few body shots of Valdez in the second half which is why he went into cruise control. Oscar still wasn't doing a whole lot for the majority of those rounds.

Looking forward to the fight tonight. Him and Martinez have both been in some interesting fights. I think it will be a decent fight with a bit of drama.

He's lucky Valdez was in withdrawal. Valdez was pretty good before Raynoso.

Conceicao won easily. People score so poorly in boxing. If the A-side fighter is losing early and then starts to perform a bit better later on, people automatically give them all the rounds even ones where they barely did anything.
