I agree about the style and unfortunate way they wrote this article in which it has no tack, if I was someone close to the fighter it would cause me to be angry, bitter and broken, they should remove this B.S. really!

Damn, sad to hear, recall him having a win over Michael Sprott and lost a close fight to Ruslan Chagaev. RIP

yeah the article is pretty bad, what is the point on ragging on his career, for a boxing website who should be supportive of boxers. for all we know he could have had CTE from boxing contributing to his depression/suicide

Really sorry to hear this and goes to show suicide really can affect anyone no matter what walk of life.
the article could have been written a lot better considering what has just happened

I would like it re-written rather than just taken down. The man won the European title twice which is a considerable achievement & you don't beat guys like Sprott or Vidoz, or push Chagaev to a close decision unless you have excellent skills. If he was conned out of his earnings by a 'friend' (& I have no reason to doubt it) then the feelings of betrayal & hopelessness must have been overwhelming. RIP champ.

Being scammed is already bad enough. Being scammed from an actual so called “friend” would be absolutely heart wrenching.

This is for Per Ake Persson

When a man dies, do NOT critique his boxing style. Pay tribute to his wins & put into context his losses. If you can't or won't do that, just acknowledge his death but don't try & smear excrement over his corse.

When Rocky Marciano died Frazier was one of the mourners. When he came out of the church a journalist jumped him saying 'Joe, do you think you would've beaten a prime Rocky?'

Joe fixed him with a look & said 'you want to talk about boxing, come to the gym & I'll talk about boxing. Right now, this is about honouring a man'. But then Joe always had that undefinable quality of class.
