Comments Thread For: Hearn: Money On Table For Undisputed Fight But Fury Doesn't Want Usyk Next

Eddie Hearn says "the money is on the table" for a deal that would see Tyson Fury face Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed world heavyweight title next, but he says the main block to negotiations is that Fury does not want to face Usyk next.

He needs an absolute cast-iron guarantee that fight takes place this year, not ‘it might happen next year’. He doesn’t want to wait anyway, but he waits a few months and has another fight and obviously has a great deal, then we will look at a contract that covers all those things."

Well played Joshua! What if Fury beat Usyk, and then took a hiatus, like he did after beating Wlad? What about all that talking about the MIddle East, just to find out that Wilder had iron-clad rematch agreement? Must have a guarantee!

Step aside 30m 22.5m aj 7.5m whyte. Offer whyte 5m guarantee wbc shot if beat hmm wilder n give aj 22.5m n automatic shot vs winner. That winner facing the wbc winner fight. Guess whats added in this 6-12 month timeline ngannou 1 more fight then out contract free to make a bag fight vs whomever.

Absolute bs posturing from all sides. There isn't enough time and money to keep all sides happy imo. Seems noone wants to fight Usyk next!

Not surprising if this is all true, only time will tell. Usyk is a nightmare of a chess match of a fight for Fury. Fury wins imo... but it wont be pleasant to watch and even harder to score as Fury would probably hold and smother Usyk alot. Seems like Fury wanted a cake walk fight in March and then go for Winner of AJ Usyk.. avoiding Dillian altogether. Less then 8 weeks to prepare for Usyk isnt ideal for anyone.

Fury is just covering his tracks . He basically did nothing but once again claim of wanting something using A.Js name with Usyk but turn around and do another fight . He also said A.J is the worst businessman as to place blame on him but it’s actually Fury turning down Usyk .

Im actually glad ,I believe the Whyte fight is harder for Fury and Usyk fighting A.J way more exciting, if Fury fights in March without Whyte I believe not even his supporters on here can defend that ,that would be one duck and one avoidance with Usyk .

Hearn getting Joshua a rematch after such a one sided beating and Hearn demanding 45% of a the purse for a fighter who only two fights ago was knocked unconscious by a now retired veteran has a lot to do with this mess.

So lots of posturing has cost fans 2 big fights that should have been happening in March (Usky/Joshua) and Apil (Tyson/Whyte). Now for sure the Usyk/Joshua fight won't take place until April/May. And Tyson/Whyte, it's anyone's guess due to the Whyte/WBC arbitration issues. What began as such a promising year for HW boxing has ended up being a slow, wimpy fart.

Eddie Hearn is the biggest propaganda merchant in boxing, it will be glorious when Usyk batters Joshua again and Hearn loses his grip on the heavyweight division.
