One has to give Floyd his props on his money-making ability, the guy had an excellent team behind him. But was Floyd a warrior? No, of course not, he was just a bidnizz man. Great boxer but was too defensive (safety-first), rarely challenged himself and chose the path of least resistance.

Canelo but some would say he wasn’t in his prime at 23. However Floyd was already a complete fighter at 23. That just shows the difference between a great fighter like Canelo and an ATG like Floyd.
Complete fighter and prime are 2 different things. Canelo was not at the peak of his ability at the age of 23. And neither was Floyd. Canelo has gotten stronger, smarter, and more efficient since fighting Floyd and even more after the GGG fight. He definitely was not in his prime.

Well, outside of Pac who was even possible to fight that anyone would consider an all-time great? He beat several future hall of famers but yeah, maybe only Hatton would be considered prime out of the group.

In his defense, prime ATGs don't grow on trees

He had the chance of fighting one in 2009-2010 Pacquiao

but he prefered to avoid the pinoy like a plague for 6 years, until the ¨prime¨ part was a thing of the past

that pinoy's promoter went as far as saying he needed an entire stadium to be built before he could make the fight

you guys realize if they had forums in the 1980s there would be a ton of guys on here after SRL's win over Duran saying that duran's prime weight was 135 and SRL dragged him up and all this other chit.

There would also be old heads on here crying that SRL isnt worthy of the sugar name and ray robinson was so much better.
