The buildup will be cringe worthy if that’s what you’re getting at? A guy who arguably has no personality and just parrots whatever Ellerbe feeds him as well as not being very likable (Tank) and a nobody with a big mouth, totally unlikable, who fought one decent opponent and is the easiest opponent they could have found. I’ll pass on this fight.

Cruz was a step up from Romero, I said that the moment it was announced. Cruz is a legit top 10 lightweight, Romero isn’t. This is an easy KO for Tank IMO.

I love Tank but nobody wants to see this fight. Mayweather Promotions has done a great job so far with his career, but it’s time to go to the next level. Either Tank should rematch Cruz to quiet the haters, or he needs the top guys in the division. As much as I enjoy his performances, I will not be buying anymore of his ppv’s unless it’s a 50/50 type fight. It’s great to possess a high level skill set, speed, and power, but it’s meaningless if it’s not displayed against the best.

Unnecessary fight but will have the interest of many here even if they are bashing it. I rather Tank face a top guy.

Romero fits the Pbc/Floyd formula for David to a tee - Hispanic fighter with average power and skill, no notable win on his record, and will be a huge underdog. Davis will one day risk that 0 and dare to be great - NOT!!!

U actually believe Romero deserves to be mandatory? Based on what notable win? Any coincidence Romero is a Floyd fighter? The sanctioning bodies obviously bend over and manipulate the rankings for Pbc/Floyd - especially thr WBC. ANY true boxing fan would know Romero being the mandatory is a farce. Will be a Huge underdog…Davis just too scared to challenge himself and risk that 0!

Looks like another PPV flop for Tank?

Or does anyone actually think this fight will sell better than Pitbull Cruz?
