Broner a massive waste of talent, do I think he could beat Connor Benn? Yes, do I think he would beat Connor Benn? No.

Broner is an underachiever and it's only his own fault isn't it.

He retains a big name and the "what if he does actually turn up" factor which means hes a profitable opponent with relatively low risk so its not surprising people want to fight him.

Excellent display of logic and rebuke of nationalistic hypocrisy

If Broner would stay in shape year round and fight at 140 there are some good fights to be made but GT is right he's not in a place where he can compete with these full time boxers who are on the come up. I don't think much of Benn they are straight up ducking Avanesyan and hoping to fight guys on their way out like Broner and Guerrero but at this point if they were to fight in 3 months I think Benn decimates Broner in under 6 and would be the first person to stop him.

If Broner stayed in the gym and took a few fights he would be back at the level where he could compete with these guys if he truly wanted to but that's really up to him and at this point I just don't see it he hasn't had that spark in a while it's just about getting paid so he can pay off his child support.

its happened a lot lately, seen some upsets of guys, these older fighters its not that they cant still be competitive but they dont have the hunger once they get money. these young bucks that havent had a payday yet are hungry and training year round

Broners biggest problems in the ring are that he tries to use the shoulder roll defense like Floyd , but he's not Floyd , and that he poses and thinks too much instead of letting his hands go. There's a lot to be said for a fighter who is " first " , who initiates the action , being last is nice too but if you have to chose , be first. Even when you miss , the optics help.

Same Broner. And I'm referring to him in his prime. When he was in shape. When he was in shape and in his right weight class, he had everything. For whatever reason, probably various reasons, he lost that sharpness and that conditioning. I like to remember a guy when he was at his peak. No fighter stays on top forever. When he was on top, he was not to be fu.ked with
