GBP does some BS to give the perception that they are trying to appease Ryan, but it's a smoke screen all along! I get it.
The same goes for an extremely positive person who posts on social media for their daily dose of "support." All of it is an illusion but it makes us feel things (good and bad), which is also an illusion if you entertain the "support"...good, bad and indifferent. Being overly "positive" leaves you in a tough spot as well....because people are waiting for your slip to show. It's the nature of the ego, sadly.
You ever wonder how these guys can get overwhelming support but the FEW negative comments can grow and send people into a mad house. Why? Because they're depending on outer validation. We've all been through it but I'm sure it hasn't made us much money on social media compared to public figures.
You're right, GBP didn't do any of this to cause Ryan to see things this way; however, it can become a problem for them if they don't involve themselves. Effectively, of course. He's not the only one dealing with this, so we're ALL in the classroom right now...that includes GBP. Ryan is their investment that they must make a return on. Speaking on mental illness is one thing but, if it stops those attached to you from making a living, some "not-so-understanding" conversations need to take place. Most would call it "straight talk."

Ryan Garcia’s career has been over since he publicly admitted that he was not built for boxing. He will have a target on his back and wrecked for his mental fragility. That **** does not fly in boxing- in almost any other case I would say he will be fine and will adjust- not in a sport that is dictated by alpha men who want to beat the **** out of you.
I hope nobody tries to compare Fury to this. Fury was already champion and proven when he fell off the face of the earth. Also Tyson has shown to be mentally resilient in fights against the elite. This kid has not even come close to that and has been ****ting himself.
he needs to take a real hard look at himself Ryan does. I don’t think boxing is for him. He has the athletic physical tools and that is what got him as far as he has gottenMike_b likes this.

I'm not against mental health and thinking that is it not real because obviously it is and needs to be taken seriously.
I'm just not sold on his explanation. How does he walk into a gym and just immediately flip a switch where he's bawling his eyes out? For what reason exactly? Either he's leaving that extremely important detail out, or this a fake story to save face.
Anyone check his cycles? Did he have to go with a particular anti-drug agency for the Fortuna fight? Just curious...

I’m no fan of Ryan and I can admit that. But I don’t want to read you calling out other boxers after they perform in the ring. And then scream mental health 5 minutes later. If it’s really mental health then he should fall back do his job and win fights. Instead of trolling all his enemies.

I'm getting Victor Ortiz ("I don't deserve to be getting beat up like this...") and Oliver McCall (pre-fight bawling) vibes from all this. At the very least he's got youth on his side, so he hasn't wasted his prime, but all this self-admitted frailty is unlikely to serve him well against raw-dog opponents like Kambosos, Davis, and whatever someone would have in store for him at a press conference.
