He’s his business partner, I expect nothing less than him saying what he said, but don’t be like an up and coming Tommy Ayer’s, back in the day when everyone thought the same thing and he was put in with an experienced Marlon Starling and trash! Sometimes it’s best to let them become a bit seasoned before jumping the gun, because we still don’t know what he can take; and with Crawford or Spence he’s going to be challenged.

Theres a reason Boots is going the ibf route instead of the wbo route. (Where hes higher ranked) Foh
He better age Crawf out or hes gonna get his caps peeled......

Jaron Ennis is only relevant because he and his camp keeps mentioning Crawford and Spence.......period. He has fought NO ONE. His best wins are vs 2 light welterweights who were trying to test the waters by moving up. You can't admit that he is a BIG WELTERWEIGHT but then give him ultimate props for beating someone who isn't even big enough to compete as a welterweight.

People always knock Crawford for his resume and if they attempt to give any kudos, they mention just a couple names......Dulorme has never came up. Crawford stopped Dulorme 5 years ago. Since then Dulorme has lost 5 of his 8 bouts. Ennis is getting ultimate praise for stopping Dulorme who is a shell of himself from when he fought Crawford and he's fighting in a higher division. Ennis didn't do nothing to him this year that Spence and Crawford can't do to him today.

Ennis needs to face an actual ranked welterweight. Stop the bull**** that he is being avoided.... He's trying to get title shots without participating in a bout that puts him in the position to get that fight. There are 4/5 contenders in his same position that are trying to get the same thing, but they are fighting ranked opponents to show that they deserve a shot. He's fighting 140 pounders.

Ennis has been frozen out somewhat for the last 18 months - it's not fair to criticise him for not having fought other fighters if they won't give him a shot, and being in the sport's marquee division really hurts w/r/t forcing his way in via sanctioning bodies, because there's always been too much money on the table (from Pacquiao $$$, unifications, rematches etc) for the sanctioning bodies NOT to be incentivised to freeze him out.

As for a possible matchup with Crawford or Spence, he certainly passes the eye test, and though I disagree with the other Breadman on a very few things, Edwards really, really knows his stuff, and his detailed descriptions of Ennis' game make me think he's a very, very live dog - if he's got even half of Crawford's composure and strength of character he's favourite in my book, because I'm not sure there's been a prospect with this much raw athleticism in as many different fields at 147 since SRL.

I like Boots, but he needs to sure up that defense a bit more in order to beat Crawford. He isn't ready yet.

Boots is probably on the verge of entering his prime while Bud is right at the edge of his.

He is much more likely to get a shot being ibf mandatory as opposed to wbo. First off, ortiz is number one wbo contender and it isn't likely that ennis will be able to leap frog him. Second, josh taylor can very easily decide to move and he will automatically be the wbo mandatory. Third, Boots fights on showtime which is also where spence fights so it would be a much more makeable fight in theory. All that said, spence isn't going to fight him either

How does Crawford have a shaky chin I thinks that’s a lie he never been knocked out he’s been hurt like twice his whole career and that makes him chinny smh
