I think Antonio Tarver has the potential to be a really good commentator.

Overall, I'm starting to like Showtime's team over HBO's with every broadcast.

Tarver did well I thought, they should keep him on and I think the team is a good contrast of personalities.

It's much more difficult than just throwing out random commentary or answering carefully set up questions.
They had Gus Johnson doing blow-by-blow for the Froch-Taylor fight and he was excellent.

I think the team of Johnson and Tarver would be ideal. Farhood is very sharp and intelligent, but he doesn't have the best voice or personality for it.

I think you mean Gus Johnson. Gus is improving, but I still think he sounds like ge belongs on NBC or ABC calling a college football game.

          I liked Steve Albert.

What? Did you actually listen to him? He stumbled all over himself and has a terrible grasp of the English language! I thought he was terrible and not needed. Farhood and Bernstien would have been fine in a two man booth.

I'm not so sure that it was his decision to leave. I did read recently that Albert will be back to do a Showtime card this year.

I saw Tarver for the first time when he did the Kessler fight. I thought he did a fine job, but also that the others should do more do get Tarver better questions. Tarver knows his stuff and it's nice to hear a fighters take.
