Antonio Tarver did an excellent job last night

Antonio Tarver was very sharp and accurate in his observations of what was going on in the Showtime fights.

I think it's time old Al Bernstein retired, since he's not as observant as he should be and can't comment on a fight fairly and objectively. Tarver would be the perfect replacement.

I don't hate Bernstein. I know he's from the same city as you, Chicago.

It's just that I enjoy a fight more when I hear the accurate, objective commentary that we had from Tarver last night.

Tarver does an excellent job. They should get him on full-time.

I guess his long amateur experience has made him an expert. Roy talks mostly nonsense IMO.

The problem with that is that Bernstein was doing the blow by blow (replacing Nick Charles) while Tarver was in the "expert commentary" spot. IMO both Tarver and Bernstein did an outstanding job and with Farhood they are better than any HBO crew.
