Then a mandatory spot wouldn’t be necessary ? The point of this fight is getting the winner of Usyk and A.J . But yea team Bakole doesn’t actually need this fight I hope they lose badly .

I was not aware about the amateur and Olympic history amongst these dudes: Hrgovic, Yoka, JJ

I told you all that this fight would never happen.

If something in boxing is too good to be true, it usually is.

That is insane. I get they have an agreement, but if the fight isn’t even booked I find it absurd the IBF would block Yoka from pulling out of the fight to participate in a final eliminator.

Yoka should cancel the fight with an “injury” and move on.

Yes Yoka should pull a 'Dillian Whyte' and say he got injured. Bakole is a tough customer though so lets see what happens there.
It would be silly for Joyce to take the fight when he is already mandatory for the WBO
i am most disappointed in Ortiz, i thought he would take it but he is being a chicken here not a boogeyman

My goodness. At this rate, Manuel Charr will get offered it.

Why is Yola is ineligible, because he could beat Hrgovic? It seems silly to rule that he's ineligible. At least he wants to fight.

Too bad. Seemed that Yoka wanted that Hrgovic smoke. Frustrating that Bakole, who turned down the Hrgovic fight, is now also derailing this matchup for the Croat contender.

I was initially pulling for Bakole to spring the upset on Yoka but now I want the Frenchman to smash him up. Hopefully Hrgovic gets a suitable opponent, at this point I'd even be content with Zhang.

When the initial fight between Yoka and Bakole was scrapped due to covid protocols, Bakole's team requested confirmation from Yoka's camp whether the fight was being cancelled or postponed. Yoka's team apparently confirmed on paper it was just a postponement. Then the Hrgovic opportunity came along and he accepted that (and then Bakole's team cried foul).
