Floyd has NOTHING on Ali. Ali has a legacy, he accomplished much more. Frankly, this is insulting.

Technically Mayweather is the most skilled,He is a more complete fighter than Ali ever was and there have been many more complete fighters than Ali throughout history.

Joe Louis was a more complete fighter than Ali but I still wouldn't rank Ali as anyting less than the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Larry Holmes perhaps was an even better version than a prime Ali was,but Larry Holmes never fought and beat who Ali did in the circumstances Ali did


I don't think Ali would have avoided the likes of Paul Williams,Shane Mosley,Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito however.

Actually I think Ali would have fought all four of them within an ten month span.


Mayweather has the potential to be the best but he's to concerned with his perfect record to challenge himself.

I've said it before and I will say it again,I don't care how skilled a guy is,If he aint fighting the best then **** the rest

Great post, that's the way I feel about him. I used to watch all his fights with anticipation of how bad he was gonna crush the other guy but now I watch (sadly enough) to see someone, anyone beat him for once.

This really isn't in question right now. Ali, hands down. But lets see where Floyd will rank when his career is done. I still doubt he'll be close to Ali, but just to be mentioned with the likes of Ali is a great honor.
