Another sign boxing is dying, and another sign none of the decision makers give a damn about the longevity of the sport. Great fight on Fox, Superbowl weekend. $75 on ppv??? I got the money, and wouldn't waste it on this card.
Superbowl weekend is the week after man they have the AFC and NFC championship games on January 30th then week off which is the thurman-barrios fight week then Superbowl on the 13th. But I agree this is a free to air fight definitely not a ppv whatsoever
Not so long ago I thought I heard folks complaining that the way PBC does business would go a long way to destroying the sport of boxing. Seems they may have been on to something.
I thought PBC was supposed to be against the PPV model, yet they’ve become one of the worst offenders, if not the worst. Ortiz-Martin and Thurman-Barrios on PPV? Eddie Hearn would be proud
Can someone explain why Fox is not showing this? Is it because they are giving PBC less shows then normal? Also, I heard FOX wants more boxing to be on PPV but why would they care? Plus a fight like this would lose money on PPV anyway most likely so better to be on free tv
