Nonito is coming into this rematch with greater momentum than the first time, wins over undefeated WBC bantamweight champ Nordine Oubaali and another technically undefeated contender Reymart Gaballo ; is a better run than Nonito had in the 2018 118 WBSS tournament vs. Ryan Burnett and Stephon Young.

I still hope he drops back to 115 at some point and picks up a real strap instead of the interim one he had the first time around. If he does, he'll join Hearns, Leonard, DLH, Floyd, and Pac as the only five division titlists.

Donaire should be the most respected boxer out of all current boxers for multiple reasons. Conducts himself professionally, fights anyone/chases the biggest challenges, and is the definition of a clean athlete based on his extensive testing going back years.

Yeah Nonito pretty much skipped over 115. There wasn’t much out there for him really though aside from a Darchinyan rematch though really. If he could healthily make 115 him vs Gonzalez would be a fantastic matchup between two future first ballot HOF’ers. Two of my favourite fighters of the last 20 years too.

Been wanting to see this rematch. It's better than anything else Inoue has going on.

Refreshing to see both fighters want the biggest fights to test themselves.

As great as Monster is, his chin is sticking up at times, as he jabs or leads with his hook. I hope he corrects this flaw. I like Nonito a lot too. What a resurgence at age what is he, 39? He looks incredible lately. His experience and conditioning has been on full display. Appreciate him while he's still here. He's definitely a throw back fighter and a future Hall of famer
