Comments Thread For: Sor Rungvisai-Cuadras Rematch DAZN's Main Event 2/5; Venue Now Footprint Center In Phoenix

Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Carlos Cuadras will still fight on February 5. BoxingScene.com has learned that their super flyweight championship rematch will be the main event of DAZN's first live boxing stream of 2022. Their 12-round fight for the WBC world 115-pound championship was supposed to be the co-feature of DAZN's stream February 5, but Jessie Vargas withdrew last week from what was scheduled as the main event versus Liam Smith.

This even was probably always doomed but at least the important fight of the card is still going forward.

This division can teach so much to all the other ones. The top fighters are writing legacies and making serious bank accounts swell fighting each other. This is a good fight, and the winner will get a chance to fight for good money again.

All the top names at 130, 147, 160, and 175 take notice. You are losing a ton.

They avoid Nietes and Ancajas the best in superfly.

Great news that this fight wasn't postponed or scrapped completely. Was probably heading down there to watch it live but oh well.

I realize you're only saying this because of your odd loyalty to Golden Boy but you're right, this event will do poorly. It was only just recently announced and then the main event fell through. These guys deserve a good crowd but they won't get it unfortunately.

Ancajas doesn't have a quality win since 2016 and Nietes got a draw with a journeyman who didn't even know how many rounds they were fighting last time out.

Nietes is a first ballot Hall of Famer but he's washed. Ancajas is a joke.

Sucks to lose Smith/Vargas, but I'll still be in attendance
