Defense is Valdez problem, but lets see how Stevenson reacts if Valdez lands a good clean shot. It's not a slaughter as some seem to predict, Valdez is quite live in this fight. May be a case of too much too soon for Stevenson. Salido made his fight ugly vs. Loma who had all the advantages lost. Pro experience may well be a factor in Valdez favor.
This is the best comment I've read yet. I'm a Valdez guy. And I see Stevenson as the projected favorite. But he will be favored in every fight for the rest of his life probably. At least into his 30s. The kid is the goods. But the world is making a mistake in discrediting Valdez. The man hasn't lost. He's looked bad in some showings. But some fighters are that way. They rise to the occasion for the big fights. Valdez mutilated Berchelt who was percieved unstoppable by most at the time. People also forget the toughness of Valdez. His face gets marked. But he fights thru hell. I think if Valdez has a night like the broken jaw fight, he can ugly up the fight if he has to. He's got to bring out the dog a bit. Tie up and push to the ropes. Things like that.

no doubt in my mind Valdez CAN win. Just a tall task

Stevenson wins every round here, with late stoppage most likely.
