Comments Thread For: Thurman: Canelo Needs To Jump In & Out Of Cruiserweight, Fight Benavidez, Charlo and Andrade

Keith Thurman has been stuck on the sidelines ever since suffering his first career loss to the since-retired Manny Pacquaio in July 2019. On Feb. 5, the former welterweight champion Thurman (29-1, 22 KOs) will look to repair his career when he takes on Mario Barrios in a FOX Sports pay per view headlining bout in Las Vegas.

Ok so let’s say Canelo lines up Charlo, Benavidez and Andrade. Who deserves a shot first? And Canelo can only pick one of the three so what should the other two do in the meantime?

And why don’t they face each other to distinguish themselves from the pack?

It’s funny how Callum Smith, Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant were supposedly easy opponents when all three would be career-best wins for the guys Canelo is supposedly ducking.

Thurman expects Canelo to go to cruiserweight and then in short order come back down and fight three guys at 168. This comes from a guy who avoids fights like the plague. Thurman is a complete dipstick. Who in the hell has he fought lately? Why don't these three stooges fight each other instead of whining, whimpering, and waiting for Canelo to put food in their bowl? Man-up clowns fight each other! Make your own history.

Charlo sounds like a done deal. Huge fight.

          That leaves Andrade vs. Benavidez.

Getting career advice from Keith Thurman lol. Maybe if Canelo keeps working hard he too can fight the likes of Marrio Barrios one day.

Thurman needs to keep Canelo's name out of his mouth.

Canelo is a future first-ballot HOFer, while nobody will remember Thurman in 10 years.

Canelo vs any current cruiserweight does very low numbers. Canelo against Charlo, Benavidez and Beterbiev does very big numbers, big pay-per-view success.

Social media has a weird effect on certain people... It's like he got all excited and said all sorts of nonsense like a kid that was approached by a cute girl.

This clown should just worry about himself. Weight jumping like that repeatedly isn't great for boxers just ask RJJ.
