Abel was such a "horrible" trainer yea he only made GGG go unbeaten for 10+ yrs made 20 title defenses and fought to a standstill with the current p4p best today. Yea he wasn't that good.lol

Everyone sure was singing his praised until the 2nd Canelo fight. But yea Abel didn't "help" ggg become the monster he was. He also "didn't" help Terry Norris become a Hall of famer.

I do think Abel Sanchez was good for GGG, G went to Abel late 20s and was already formed profoundly as a boxer. Abel did not change him but built on top of him. It might be so that Abel is not good with developing up and coming fighters, but when seasoned fighters get up there in Big Bear he knows damn well how to set up good camps and prepare them.

BTW I found that Team Reynoso fought scared against G.

His defence is still horrible as seen in the derevyanchenko fight, and his boxing hasn't improved one bit. The problem is with him, not the trainer.

I don’t think it matters, GGG is what he is because of Abel. Even if Abel sucks, he was an important piece in an important fighters life and development. No one can ever take that from him I say.

He fought Canelo 2 times and won 1 and drew 1.
Your mistaken bro if you think he fought scared, Nelo was just a big step up fight and competing at that level is usually chess matches.
