    It shouldn't be about ''skill'.
It should be based on strength of resume.

If you have a soft resume, of course you will look like an unbeatable immortal with otherworldly skill.

I really like Russel. I think he is gritty and has really good boxing skills. I was surprised how easily Loma dismantled him. I’d like to see him fight the BIGGER NAMES. I think he can whip some of them.

Below I present the current P4P list for the boxingscene. I think that Josh Taylor is overrated at #6. I doubt that the writers actually believe that he beats a Tyson Phooey, Vasily Lomachenka, Juan Francisco Estrada, or Gervonta Davis.

The 'experts' would feel a little embarrassed to put the 'undisputed' jr. welterweight champion around 7 or 8, but I assure you that they would do that to Jermell Charlo, no doubt in my mind.

        1. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez

        2. Terence Crawford

        3. Naoya Inoue

        4. Oleksandr Usyk

        5. Errol Spence

        6. Josh Taylor

        7. Tyson Fury

        8. Vasyl Lomachenko

        9. Juan Francisco Estrada

        10. Gervonta Davis

The p4p list has never been about skills, its about accomplishments and resume. Pacquiao was never the best skilled fighter but he was beating everybody …with help from peds….that’s why they had him as #1 p4p

Pac's WW resume is soft. JMM, maybe Bradley, are the only names worth mentioning (that didn't have an *).

The basics - P4P ''should'' negate HWs. No way can they be ''p4p''
Bud is way too high. Switch him with Loma.
Beating Porter, who has been beaten multiple times before Bud got to him, isn't that impressive.

The only HW that has a sound argument for a P4P position in terms of skills and resume is Oleksandr Usyk, that clown Tyson Fury has been KO at least twice now ; but when A.J was dominating and had the best resume in the Heavyweight division I cant remember that he was ever mentioned in the P4P.

But I got TBC as #1., absolute domination, no controversial decisions and we all know that Josh Taylor would of never become 'undisputed' if 'Bud' had not vacated the jr. welterweight crown. I'm torn on #2. its Usyk or 'The Monster' Naoya Inoue, I'm leaning toward Oleksandr for the sensational masterclass performance he put on vs. A.J.

The last time I checked Gary Russell jr. was also more popular than Taylor, and arguably more skilled ; I dont know who would win if these two fought.
Well it's easy to determine who would win JT. He's a Jr welterweight GRJ is a featherweight

The premise of this discussion is P4P, meaning excluding weight, all other factors being equal I say Gary Russell jr. decisions Josh Taylor, easy.

I see Russell is still salty that Lomachenko became a #1 top p4p and schooled him when loma has a record of 1-1.
