People keep bringing up Floyd leaving Arum as some kind of evidence of something. Floyd left because he believed he could be a bigger star than Arum believed he could be. Well besides Floyd and Haymon, who else in their right mind thought Floyd would end up with a BILLION dollars in career earnings?? Anyone who says they did is a liar, because if you would have made that claim 15 years ago you would have been laughed out of the gym. Arum offered Floyd $8 million bucks to fight Margs. That was a BOATLOAD of money back then. Floyd thought he was worth more, ventured out on his own, and ultimately proved himself to be right. Good for him. But that doesnt make Bob a racist, it makes him a businessman who made a simple risk/reward decision. The same type of decision he made with Oscar, Cotto, and a thousand other fighters.

I cant speak for everyone, but I have worked with most of the people at Top Rank in one way or another over the years, and I never got the slightest sense of any racist motivations over there. Its all about BUSINESS. Things either make money, or they don't.

Are you by any chance ***ish? Only jokin haha. Yeah man the racist thing seems a bit strange, except for the fact that Terence Crawford is exceedingly black! But in terms of categorization, no more black than the next African American. But aye, certainly seems there was some favouritism, or the opposite of going on there, or something of the sort, something sour. Great Pity. As for TC doing a Floyd, I remember seeing a clip of him meeting Errol Spence backstage at a big fight and he was a straight up G, very charismatic. He plays it down though, and gets shy, on occasion. It's a weird thing. Best fighter going. The problem with any person of talent today, be it athelete or artist, is that they're doomed to self promote. And some people just do not have the knack(or the taste) for this.
