I don't think he's sexist. He probably wouldn't like a male boxer if his hardest punch was a slap either

If you don't care about women's boxing, that is fine -- I don't care for it too much either, but there are, at least, a few interesting fighters for me. That's a few more than five years back, so it does seem to be progressing.

If you think the talent pool is too shallow, I don't think you'll get too many arguments. It obviously is shallow, because it is a sport that is still finding it's feet.

      Here's the rub though.

If women's boxing is so patently weak (which it is) and if men's boxing is so patently superior (which it is), why does it bother you that there is an article giving a female fighter of the year award to a woman -- even if the article tries to compare women's achievements to men's?

If you really don't care and if men's boxing is so obviously superior, it should be water off a ducks's back for you. It's not like they can give female fighter of the year to a man...

Women's boxing is not encroaching on men's boxing in any way. They are separate sports. Live and let live!

We had boxing writers who wanted to hype Shields as the “fighter with least amount of fights being undisputed in all of boxing” and trying to elevate her status above Lomachenko when he was pursuing undisputed. Trying to convince casuals that if she accomplished undisputed in less fights than Loma, that it would somehow be more impressive and on the same level. It’s not even close.

They are trying so hard to elevate these female boxers by casting a shadow over male boxers. An undisputed female boxer is not in the same league as a male undisputed boxer.

What?!?!? Because they don't KO people or half of them are not as skilled...heck you can say the same thing for half of the male boxers (lack of power & skill)

No, you're sexist...it's just in your DNA!

You don't hear him in male threads saying "I hate male boxing because they lack power or skill". He could have just said "I dislike this women boxer for of said reason" but he went after a whole gender that risking their lives to entertain us for the sport we love.

            He's sexist.
