That was an interesting fight. De Los Santos came out incredibly aggressive and was throwing everything hard, Foster just didn't seem very strong or hard hitting but he did seem calm and composed. After a few rounds, the Dominican fighter began to gas and Foster was walking him down and exerting pressure. The cut only made La Granada unravel even more....

I think punch stats indicated De Los Santos outlanded Foster and he was throwing the harder shots but Foster's composure and ring generalship were superior. It was a close fight but I thought Foster eked it out.

Just based on punches landing, Santos could have won 4, up to 5 rounds. But his body language was terrible.
Looked defeated, always ducked low and invited foster to land easy body punches, then went down to his knees whenever foster put some weight on him.
a lot of clinching and he didnt care if he gets more points deducted. Didnt let go of the clinches when the ref called break.

Foster isnt a high level fighter, but his composed pressure and ability to turn it up is pretty difficult to deal with for inexperienced prospects.

Exactly. I was not impressed with anything. Dude is 28 and they threat him like a prospect when in reality, for that weight class he should be at his prime.

He got rocked in the first round, and if De los Santos had more experience (only 22) he could have lost badly.
