Why are you in the minority of people that thinks its okay to act any type of way?

If Mayweather fought the best available people would prolly overlook it but you know its kinda annoying to hear someone say they are still the best and refuse to fight the best.

Majority of people care how Sportsmen in general conduct themselves in Interviews its not just Boxing. You have to relate to your audience.

But I think you're seriously underestimating the power of personality and it's ability to make or break a public figure, my brother.

Would Ali be as beloved as he is today if not for his convictions and campaign for human and civil rights?

Would Tyson be as hated as he once was if not for his piss poor personality and vitriol?
Just isn't in me to take that into account. Maybe is more due to the fact that I haven't come across a fighter I didn't like, because of their personality.

Cherry picking and ducking fights isnt enough for you? His personality is just the icing on the cake.

You make me laugh, you have these ideals about how it should! be but its irrelevant because all that matters is how it is.

Most people already know this so...

The solution to this is to workout how to relate to fans through the media and understand that it is actually quite an important part of making yourself a popular figure.

I don't dislike many fighters. Usually when I do it's based on a piss poor performance that left a bad taste in my mouth (Billy Dib).

But with Floyd there are certainly questions regarding his opposition ever since 140 and I think that plays a role in it as well.

Also, let's be real ; he portrays himself as an *******. And it doesn't make sense that he only does it for promotion because the people who have been turned off by his bad attitude aren't going to be spending any money to see him do anything. Let alone pay 50 bucks to see him "lose", as he claims.

The last thing anybody who dislikes him wants to do is give the guy more cash.

That's why everybody is all Pacquiao crazed now. For the longest time our P4P#1 was the ****iest thing to ever walk on two legs, and it's refreshing for most to see a humble cat like Manny on top.

I'm on the fence with Floyd, really. You've seen my posts ; you know I don't like his attitude but when it comes to his ability I'm always one of the first in line to defend how good he actually is.

I just miss the old Floyd I grew up watching, back when he was a humble, hungry young kid who was eager to prove his worth.

Now he just seems so fake and shallow that I just can't support him in the same way I support a guy like Hopkins or Marquez.

I don't think he's gonna change any time soon. The weird thing is, Mayweather isn't being disrespectful to Marquez, as he was against DLH or Hatton. Anyway, to each his own but I understand where your coming from.

I'm actually more appreciative of that, as well ; the fact that he's being respectful to Marquez.

Sure he made fun of his piss drinking but I don't think that was uncalled for ; most everybody else did, as well. So that's fine with me.

If he keeps up like he is in promoting his next fight after Marquez, be it against Mosley or Pacquiao ; I may end up a fan once again.

I was a huge fan of the humble Mayweather Jr back in the Lightweight days. He's reminded me of that version as of late.

I've seen some Floyd stans who say they actually want boxing to be more like wrestling.
