Because they have issues. They don't like him but continue to keep up with what he's doing. And they always throw a twist in it to make it relate to boxing i.e. he avoids fighters. I think most people just want to see him lose.

Because boxing to them has become a soap opera. Pretty soon, everyone's gonna play a part, it'll be like wrestling. But it isn't like that, yet people judge another man's personality. People act like this is blind date or something.

He's a public figure, an athlete, some would even say "clebrity" of sort.

Therefore he's open to debate by any and all who wish to participate his motives/actions.

Aside from that he's the most famous American boxer in the world right now, and this forum is for discussing "all things boxing".

                So there you have it.

He is a fighter, he is also a jack ass, and doesn;t want to take risks.

I'm not for or against Floyd.

I have issues with ceratin fighters he's yet to face off against and whatnot, and there have been certain things he's said/done that have drawn my ire in the past.

But I think you're seriously underestimating the power of personality and it's ability to make or break a public figure, my brother.

Would Ali be as beloved as he is today if not for his convictions and campaign for human and civil rights?

Would Tyson be as hated as he once was if not for his piss poor personality and vitriol?
