TBH I think AJ thought he could outbox Usyk. It was an ego thing. Everyone else knew he had to try to steamroller him. I still doubt he has the chin to do that though

Klitschko is the one of the best HWs of all time, the Ruiz who turned up against Joshua the second time was a useless fat bum.

Ruiz hadn’t shown he is a better boxer at a lighter weight ,the Ruiz that fought A.J both times wouldn’t get knocked down by Arreola .

Aj is toasted marshmallow. Every fighter knows (post-Ruiz and Usyk) that all you have to do is throw to his face and he freezes up, then you have some free shots to make it worse. With all AJ's training / coaching / location options to mull over, one thing is NOT an option: Usyk's preparedness. Usyk is coming, and he will bring more pain with a singular focus, which is to win even more impressively than he did already. Scary but true.

He´s a bit muscle bound but still way better boxer than he gets credit for, and his stamina is pretty good for a solid 245 lbs. The problem is, Usyk is clearly the best 12 rd boxer in the division with a ridiculous engine so the game plan was doomed to fail.

AJ has such great stamina because he can call a timeout whenever he wants in the ring...heck if he gets tired they will even close out the round early for him...he can't lose stamina wise. You are correct!!

The only very robotic guy I’ve seen in this era has been Wilder . I think you are confused by direct technical shots ,A.J is far from a clunky fighter , Klitschko was more clunky because he didn’t throw outside his one two combination that much and had no body work later in his career .

Not surprised AJ would say that. It's a lame excuse, but in his case he really seems like the type of person who's way too concerned with what other people think of him. Too much of a people pleaser.

If he knocked out Usyk like a lot of people were predicting, not many would have complained. I mean who complains after a KO finish? The only people who would have criticized him are people who already don't like him to begin with.

But if he went the distance by outboxing Usyk, people would have said he's slipping because he didn't KO an undersized Cruiserweight, or that he fought "scared."

You can't win over certain some people no matter what, so just worry about winning in the ring.

On side note Fury is all up in Joshua's head. We're not sure if they'll ever fight, but Fury already won (at least in Joshua's mind).

Let's be honest Wlad wasn't more then 1,2 and the occasional 3 Josh is basically the same but add in the occasional holding of the back of the head and an uppercut and they're almost identical I would argue Wlad has better feet and Joshua has better hand speed but technically Wlad is superior.
