If Whyte doesn't believe he can beat Fury then of course he wants the most money possible from the fight

If Whyte does believe he can beat Fury... well wouldn't he still want the most money possible from the fight?

Why does seeking the best return possible indicate a lack of confidence? It's a prize fight.

And if businessman Fury was confident he wouldn’t be trying to get 80 % .

But he would. He would maximise his income whether he's confident or not.
You don't minimise your income regardless of how you see your chances.

If one of them rejects the fight then that's a different story. It's a duck.

If Fury wasn’t greedy the fight goes ahead .

Anyone who beats Fury is going to make a shipload of money the next few fights after that. Whyte is a dumb*** for not taking the offer. He could get nothing if Arum and Fury kick his behind to the curb. Like I stated Ruiz jumped right on Joshua and proved it in the ring. Whyte and Ortiz talk but don't ever take fights to move up because they have no confidence on the inside.

Ruiz was offered a voluntary shot at Joshua. It was that or nothing.

This is a mandatory. If it goes to purse bids it will be 80/20. Up to the point of the fight being ordered both would push for a better split. In free negotiations, both will push for better terms (financial and non financial).

After the 11th, we'll know whether either party is actually willing to walk away. I could see Whyte walking - he's not happy with the split. Fury has more to lose by walking away and the terms are in his favour. He can't just kick Whyte to the kerb. It's fight or drop the belt.

Either way, if someone withdraws it's a duck.

Joyce might, Ruiz might, Kabayel would, and Sanchez is talking **** so maybe he would too. Hrgovic maybe.

Wilder probably not for a while at least.

                    Hunter's a duck

Ortiz is never in anything worth a ****

Who is Makhmudov? I'm kidding, I'd just be surprised if it came to that.

                      - - The Furious tempest in a teapot.

20% of peanuts that this fight generates is the chamber pot earning legacy of Furry who fled the UK because he not only couldn't, but wouldn't compete with AJ.

Now Usyk gets the life altering purse of a lifetime while Furry sits on his pot.
