Nope. Just do what Haymon tells him.

Not yet as Joyce is ranked 7, and next asked will be Parker who's no 4. In any case Joyce has already knocked it back, and will do so again. Joyce is the next WBO mandatory and will await that shot.

My message is for all of the heavyweights out there,” stated Ortiz. If you want to fight for the title, you have to go through me.” Three days later he finds out his hand is injured ,sounds legit and a reasonable reason boxing scene edited that in .

Hey Luis do you fancy a final eliminator to a world title? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
            Enough said!

            Thanks.

              Frank Warren won't allow that.

Hrgovic is too tall, he can jab Ortiz face the whole night. But Hrgovic isn't know fighter this wouldn't mean too much money for Ortiz.

Andy Ruíz would be the ideal opponent for him, bigger money and Ortiz could use his jab more effectively because his height advantage.
But Ortiz is old and running out of time. And claims nobody will fight him. Here he doesn't even have to chase it. So this fight is perfect. But yet somehow it's not. Ortiz us not allowed to take this fight.

I really don't understand why the PBC would request eliminator status for Martin vs Ortiz, knowing there was no way they were letting the winner anywhere near Hrgovic. They've just made themselves and Ortiz look really bad. What was the point?

If he loses against Ruiz, he still makes more money than if he would lose to Hrgovic. And if he beats Ruiz, he adds a way bigger name to his resume than Hrgovic is.
I agree that a Ruiz fight will pay better but how much really? I can’t see him getting more than $500k for Ruiz. And if he wins, where does that get him? The only way you are getting a shot at the heavyweight title is going to be through unification or mandatories for the next year or two. The only other heavyweight fight that might pay is wilder and no one is going to pay to see a third fight between the two.

Coincidentally, when Martin declined to fight Hrgovic originally, he was injured also. Yet he says he was trying to make fights with Wilder and Ruiz. Do all these PBC fighters think we're all that gullible? Lol.
