  • Comments Thread For: Trevor Bryan To Proceed With Voluntary Title Defense; Charr Removed As WBA "Champion In Recess"

Mahmoud (Manuel) Charr suffers yet another knockout blow outside the ring. BoxingScene.com has learned that the former secondary WBA beltholder has lost out on a chance to face WBA "World" heavyweight titlist Trevor Bryan for the second time in the span of a year. Charr was previously owed a shot at the title he once held but has been removed for failure to provide proof of a P-1 entertainment visa required to travel to the United States for the fight.

Guidroy is 17-0 how ? He's another Bryan/Lovejoy\Wilder\Ennis how are these guys allowed to rack up 17 odd fights and fight no one with a pulse, go look at their boxing records, I bet you're thinking they must have fought somebody but go look. There are journeymen level boxers with better records in their first 17 fights,

Gulildroy has used that 17-0 and Kings cash to teleport into the WBA top 15 so it matters. It should be like an ECF system where you get diminishing returns on fighting no hopers.

Charr is becoming a running joke but even he fought Owen Beck in his 14th fight when Beck had won 5 of his last six for comparison Wilder only stepped up to Beck two years later when he had lost every fight since Charr (lost his last 6 and two away from retirement) in Wilders 23rd fight . How was that allowed? There should be a rule that says you can fight him but we're not giving you a win for it. To stop guys building up these fake records. Who watches these fights?

The WBA might as well just accept cash for any record you like at this point, like give us a million and you're 50-0 and then we can get straight to the real fights,

There's PLENTY of highly ranked, idle heavyweights for Charr to get busy with. Stop whining about Don King and the WBA, start knocking people out, or STFU!

Charr may have the worst legal representation in boxing history. This comes like 48 hours after he repeatedly insulted the WBA president. Duh. Guy may be a criminal but you’re not gonna get what you want by insulting him. Like calling a girl a whore then being shocked she doesn’t want you to come home with her

I was thinking the other day about how Charr thought it was a great idea to insult the president of the WBA & make lawsuit threats. I laughed & thought “Diamond boy is about to take it dry”… A few days later here we are…

I guess Charr and his lawyers can get in line behind Fres Oquendo and his lawyers as they sue the WBA for a 2nd time...and the saga continues to get to 1 WBA heavyweight champion. If it's true the Bryan/Guidry winner will have to defend against Daniel Dubois, then the IBF will be next in line in terms of mandatories for the Usyk-Joshua 2 winner. The WBA will skip their turn and Luis Ortiz only has 1-2 days left to notify the IBF if he will fight Hrgovic for the #1 position. If he says no, once again the IBF will go down the list of contenders to see who wants to fight Hrgovic. Meanwhile, all four organizations will allow a unification between the Usyk-Joshua 2 winner and Tyson Fury vs. ? winner. Then the IBF or WBC would go next. But...Dillian Whyte is in arbitration with the WBC on purse splits as the WBC mandatory challenger.

Literally no good guys in this scenario. King, Bryan, Charr, Mendoza, etc. All just need to disappear.

I completely agree, that is really bad. Guildroy has never even been past 8 rounds.

Are these guys ****** or what. Whyte decides to sue WBC while waiting on Fury title shot. Charr is insulting WBA president while he waits to fight regular champion Bryan.

What is wrong with these guys?
