Well if he's gonna fight the fighters he just listed then he definitely can and win aside from postal whose probably the only one to give him problems of the lot.

Mate, have a re-read of the article. Those are names he's already beaten at that venue. What he's saying is, that's his home venue, and he has a good history there. He makes weight no problem now. Post Prograis he's been working with a nutritionist and he's had no problems and could, if he wanted, be a career 140 lbr. Going to 147 is from choice, not necessity, as his next goal is to become a 2 weight champion.

London born Joe Calzaghe would have been on my list if he had kept the IBF belt instead of fighting Manfredo, Making the Kessler fight undisputed. There's a lot more pre alphabet soup as well! He didn't mention who the "big fight" would be against, or even what weight that would be at. Not sure who that could be at if he stays at 140 so maybe he has eyes on Crawford?

Thats because their not wanting to talk about beyond feb 26. Teo Lopez is a recent example of not respecting the guy in front of you, and looking past him. Taylor and his team are being careful to avoid that scenario. He has plenty respect for Catteral, and is putting future opponent's out of his mind. That said, it's well known he wants to move to 147, and wants to fight Crawford. So I think if he wins he'll vacate and move up. He knows he may not get Crawford straight away and is prepared to earn his stripes in the division.

I can't see him taking a non title fight. I'd like to see him stay @ light-welter for 2022 & maybe fight Zepeda in the Autumn before moving up to 147 next year.

Even with a loss to George Kamobosis, Teofimo is more capable than Jack Catterall, even with a collapse lung from asthma. I hope you are wrong, I really miss Teofimo Lopez, we know that he will be missed more than Josh Taylor, the numbers on the boxingscene do not lie. In spite becoming jr. welterweight 'undisputed' champion, the public have expressed little interest in Taylor's defense against Jack Catterall.

But when the 'Takeover' returns, the attention and response will be enormous. If Josh takes 2022 off, nobody will notice.

That's because boxing scene posters are predominantly American. In the UK it's a bigger fight, and well received for all the right reasons. The boxing world isn't just about boxing scene.

As WBO title holder, Taylor can request immediate WBO mandatory status @ 147 if he wants.
