Why do people get upset when it's said Ortiz was once a legit boogeyman?

Not even a Wilder fan, far from but he was literally the only ****er at the time that risked fighting Ortiz when he wasn't a total geriatric.

And a thing that gets me is the ones saying stuff like Ortiz has only beat Jennings or something but they'll spend their whole existence swearing blind a totally unproven prospect like Hrgovic (purely for example) is this and that despite him beating nobody even close to a Charles Martins level. I thought you were all about resumes and eye tests counted for ****?
    Talk to 'em Dan!!!!

Meanwhile nthe guy who trains with Snickers bars accepted it and sparked out the champ. Go figure.
Ruiz just came out of an easy fight against Dimitrenko. He was ready to fight.

Not really short notice for Ruiz. Ruiz had just beaten Dimetrenko easily in 5. For Ruiz it was more like an extended camp than a short one.

Ortiz had over a months notice to fight A.J . It wasn’t a few weeks or days . Hearn notified them April 25th and the fight scheduled was for June 1st . I know you aren’t interesting in facts but I’m going to keep posting them .

A normal camp is about 2 months . Ruiz took the fight in 2 weeks time left or abouts ,before you say more nonsense keep in mind Ortiz handlers said he was in training and ready to go as long as Hearn offers more money which later they admitted they got to greedy so put your brakes on .

Yeah... I still really don't care if someone turns down a fight without a full camp.

And I still don't get it. Ortiz not taking the AJ fight doesn't mean he was never considered a boogeyman at some point in his career.

Of course you don’t then you have no ridiculous arguments to have claiming he wasn’t ready where other guys were ?

“He’s always training and he’s always ready for a fight. For Joshua, sure we’d love an 8-12 week camp, but we could get ready in five if the fight was signed today.” His actual trainer days after the offer .

I don't really know what happened and I don't really care. Maybe the PBC offered him something equally interesting. That still doesn't change the fact that Ortiz was once viewed as a boogeyman.
