Ugas and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) feverishly pushed for the WBA to reconsider matters, as a fight with Spence (27-0, 21KOs) is far more relevant for the sport than a routing title defense versus the unbeaten but still unproven Stanionis
I feel no one really cares except for people scared for Spence in regards to Crawford.

Stanionis subsequently agreed to permit Ugas to proceed with the Spence fight, as he will now face Butaev with the winner promised first crack at the three-belt unified titlist
Winner promised first crack at the three-belt unified titlist. For the people that see Spence fighting Crawford next.

Should and most likely when Spence wins, I don't think Crawford would be able to demand for a 50-50 split percentage...hopefully the winner fights one more time this year and go for undisputed this fall.

I like Bud but he's delusional if he thinks he deserves 50-50 or 60-40 his way. I like that set up as well. The real question is who is Bud fighting? I don't want to see him in there with Keith.

Good fight and really looking forward to that. Something tells me this will be in vegas rather than Dallas

Excellent news. I love titles being unified. Hopefully a few good fights on the undercards and we got a cracking night to look forward to.

Normally I'd pick Spence over Ugas every time but right now there is some uncertainty about him, his eye, his drinking habits, his general condition after the couple of years he's had. That's giving the fight an extra edge.

I know the one we all want is Crawford v Spence but it just ain't happening yet or ever but either way would we really want it next with this being Spence returning from an injury lay off? You know what excuses we'd hear if Crawford beat him

Not the fight we wanted but I guess it'll confirm for sure who the 2nd best guy is at 147. Although I see a lot of people think Ennis can beat Spence already so maybe it only confirms 3rd best.

I think this fight will do some crappy numbers. I think boxing fans alike are getting a little fed up at this point. They want Spence Crawford, their not paying to see Ugas and Spence, like Crawford isn't really a big star on his own. He needs a dance partner especially when the outcome is predictable.. Ugas was really boring in his win over Pacquiao..

No one wants to see Crawford vs. Thurman! I'd rather Crawford face the winner of Ortiz vs. McKinson! Now of course, if Crawford is really about that life, he would choose Jaron Boots Ennis! Neither has a fight scheduled! MAN UP!
