Did you read? I wrote, I think his equilibrium was messed up, because of the punch on the back of his head. Nothing more. Yes, Ortiz hit him with a few, but he gave him his back, he didn't know he was tangled in the ropes. Granted he was out on his feet from the first one, he stood there looking at nothing. The ref should have stopped the fight right there.
He didn’t know he was tangled in the ropes ,did he know he was punching down with Martins head at his waist level ?
I'm not a Wilder fan but the dude can take some punishment and even if you get him down, he's hard to keep down. Wilder can be outboxed but I don't see Martin doing that for 13 rounds and I don't see him stopping Wilder. I do see Wilder landing and removing Martin from his senses and consciousness.
I bet if Wilder was losing and they can’t rob his opponent, they would add a 13th round to give him one more chance .
After seeing this fight I think Martin had a point on why he would have defeated Wilder . Ortiz had the ring IQ to wheather the Princes storm ,if that was Wilder he would have panicked and got stopped again .
Martin should be considered better then Wilder .
