This is just the start. Can’t make firm plans for Feb/March etc until things improve. Insurance will be too great

******. Panicked premonitions of the NHS collapsing under the weight of covid treatment haven't come to pass and they're not going to now. Kind of funny thought that Eubank v Williams was the only major fight disrupted by it. Eubank fights have been cancelled or delayed what, like a dozen times over the course of the last year?

I was about to say just that about the NHS, seems to be collapsing. Me aunt can no longer get certain medications for free as she used to, had to pay for it now and you know what that means. It should be no surprise to any of us that this happened, missus just got back from the U.K. and we didn’t think she was going to get back on the plane were it not for a last minute Rona test. The U.K. isn’t mucking about with this new variant

It's not neccessarily about NHS being overwhelmed by treating covid patients. They also have to consider if there are enough medical staff to cover normal medical treatment. 1.Omicron is infecting people at a phenomenal rate in the UK
          2. People infected with Omicron cannot be going in to work in hospitals
          3. Points 1 & 2 together mean the NHS will be undoubtedly be understaffed as the wave peaks
          4. You cannot be sending doctors to boxing matches if the NHS is facing staff shortages

          It's a totally sensible precaution.

Sky have sunk a lot into promoting Eubank and he's not had a fight yet. This is a huge event for them, but the more it gets pushed back, the less important it feels.

They really need this fight to happen in Feb (so do the boxers, bet their Christmas and New Year's was pretty ****)
