      Maybe because she's one too?

Greatest female fighter to ever put on gloves? Didn't she just lose her last fight? GFTOH. She's up there as far as female boxers go, accomplishing things other haven't. But "fighter?" Put her in an octagon with someone most people have heard of and she'll get put to sleep.

Who cares about her MMA career?

I'm amazed there were 11 other pro female boxers for her to fight in only 2 divisions.

Boxing had always appealed to that type, I vividly remember Holmes v Cooney which is the classic example of the racial tribalism of boxing but you’re seeing it in younger people these days and that’s what’s so unfortunate. The hard right of today literally makes society look like pre WWII or 1920s-30s Austria and Germany

Lol same old names bringing in the race talk, all we need is Big Dunn in here to call literally everybody an anti black racist and maybe Larry x to post links to some random white crimes.

Shields is a very good Boxer but has a toxic personality, she is hard to like. But of course if you say you don't like her you must be a racist.

B.S. records! Women's boxing hasn't evolved that much for records to mean anything yet! Big fish in a puny pool. Gotta have some competitors before that much credit is given!

I guess you missed the quote. He called her "the greatest female fighter ever to put on gloves." Last time I checked MMA athletes were "fighters" and they put on "gloves." I don't even watch MMA and could name several women in her weight class who would annihilate her. I already acknowledged her accomplishments in boxing. Perhaps he should have said "boxer?" Boxing happens to me my sport of choice to follow but there are plenty of other competitive fighting disciplines out there.

And it's besides the point but no I'm not a huge fan. She used to train at a local gym and she's a c@nt and that comes from both the staff and several well known pros who frequent the place. No one likes her. Funny a nobody like me can get along with all of them yet she can't? It's pretty telling to see an ex-pro heavyweight who challenged multiple times for a world title yell and curse at the tv in front of everyone after she goes off on another crybaby rant in an interview. And yes he's black for those of you it matters to. And lest you think I'm picking on her I used to be a fan of Kovalev too until my friends who work/train there told me what an a$$hole he was too. It's disappointing because I've met a bunch of well known pros there and they've otherwise all been SUPER humble and polite and cool.

Serena Williams could train for 6 months and win a world title in her first bout at age 40. Women's boxing has no competition in the higher weight classes.

I didn't even read the quote just like I didn't read the majority of what you wrote. This is a boxing forum. Anything else is irrelevant to me.
