that's a good thread right there!

Won't fight Avanesyan but would have fought Ugas? Yeah, seems legit.

Sometimes with a 'project' they hype gets ahead of the fighter, or the fighter looks great and seems further along than he really is. That's where we are now with Benn. So the matchmaker is in a difficult phase - they need to keep the hype going but not put the fighter at too much risk of a loss. 60-40 odds in the 'project's' favour are the most they want to contemplate and even that is more risk than they are really comfortable with.

Broner probably fits into that 60-40 range. Broner is a 40 to Benn's 60. Avanesyan on the other hand is a 60 to Benn's 40. Screw that for a game of soldiers (see what I did there?). So no way Benn is fighting Avanesyan and heaven forbid Vergil or Ennis. If he gets and beats Broner look for fights with one of the Garcia's and maybe Thurman if he looks faded against Barrios.
Boots? Broner? Thurman? One of the Garcias??? If Benn wants to fight all those guys why doesn't he just sign with PBC??

He knows PBC is tryng to muscle Hearn out of the USA by not working with him. So if he wants to prove to America that he's "BOUT DAT LIFE" then fight Virgil since that would be easier to make than PBC fights. Oops I forgot, ODLH doesn't work with Hearn either. Oh well, Avanesyan for you champ!!

Frank Warren says that he would allow Matchroom to stage Conor Benn vs Avanasyan on DAZN and he'll pay for Avanasyan's purse. Link below:

I said he'd avoid Boots. I don't think Boots is with PBC which is why he himself can't get fights.

Why doesn't he sign with PBC? 'cos he's in Eddy's protection racket not Al's

Now why would Warren offer to do that unless he was 200% convinced that Benn loses that matchup? Matchroom know that too. Avanesyan is not happening until either Benn gets a lot better or Avanesyan looks a lot worse in an upcoming fight
