Dana won’t pay Jake enough to fight MMA. If he paid his own guys well enough his old “name” fighters wouldn’t even entertain the idea of coming to boxing to get knocked out by a Disney channel kid. Dana has nobody to blame but himself and his greed.

Bigger money would help, but it wouldnt stop this completely, just look at Holyfield coming back and Floyd fighting Logan. Theres always guys that suck with money, or always want more or simply cant walk away. Nate has to have made millions from the Conor fights, and Jorge will have made millions in 2019-2020 when he was red hot.

How much are these guys even getting paid to fight Jake anyway? how much is getting knocked out by a Disney star and invalidating your entire career worth?

the thing most people dont realize is that paul only fights much smaller opponents(that arent boxers) diaz and masvidal are both 20 pounds smaller than paul. same with woodley, askren, etc...its a great scam he has going on, people arent even focusing on that because of all the bells and whistles that go into these fights but fundamentally hes fighting much smaller people. these people also happen to be non boxers who are old and shot as well which doesnt help but there are so many ways to criticize the fights that you cant pin him down on just one.
