Casual fans are all about popularity, when Pacman got knocked out in his prime was he washed up? How about the great Duran when he lost/quit or Sugar Ray Robinson when he lost, or Ali when he lost to Frazier or Norton? Not putting (Keef) on their level but he only have one lost to a great fighter by decision. I would say he deserves a shot at the top tier fighters due to his record and status before the one loss to a great fighter. CASUALS don't seem to understand its about talent, matchups and experience true fans want to see and not about who we personally like
I’ve been saying for years that Thurman is closer to retirement than his gym
One Time totally changed his tune once he got married and became this kind of west coast pacifist
When you bring someone important to your circle (wife in this case) , you started changing your priorities
Now I can be totally wrong and he just don’t gives a fugh about the sport anymore
Just maybe injuries , the guy breaks down more often than my piece of junk outside
Fugh , even Gary Russell makes an effort to fight once a year
Maybe I’m all wrong but Keith , the one time guy , isn’t Thurman and hasn’t been for a while

You are not lying. He went from One time to Sometimes to Once upon a time and soon to be No time at all. Guy definitely has lost his fire but I think a fight with a Crawford might light a fire in his eyes again at least for one big fight.

We’d be lucky to get one big fight out of him
For fughs sake , Pac couldn’t light that fire under him
I think the difference was Ugas, pacquio threw over 800 punches, and never stop trying, the bodywork of Ugas did a job on him, that was the main thing. Nobody gave him a chance, Ugas, and he proved everyone wrong. Be safe.
Gotta disagree. The difference was PacMan's LEGS. He couldn't move. Was obviously cramped. And that's what Pacquiao relies on for his style to work. He couldn't get in/out. Couldn't get his angles working. Ugas is a really good boxer. Top 5 in the division. But I don't believe Ugas beats the PacMan that fought Keith. I could be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Lastly, screw being "safe." Be brave. Be FREE.
He couldn't move because the bodywork. He's been known to have an excuse for every loss. Ask anyone that has practice any martial art, when hit on the gut, if you just want to sit down and call it a day.

Keith gave Manny more to the body during their fight than Ugas did. And Keith punches harder. PacMan wasn't right from the jump. We could all see it while it was happening. His stretching between rounds even attested to it. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
I'm looking forward to Ugas-Spence, though. Ugas has SKILLS and he's been fighting more confident, too, AND getting better. There's a lot of great matchups in Welterweight to be made between Ugas, Spence, Crawford, Thurman, Ennis, Ortiz, Benn, etc. Then potentially add in Taylor. We fans just need to get to see them all fight each other. THEN we'll know who's the MAN (I'm leaning Crawford then Ennis).

And yet, keith didn't do the same damage. Maybe Ugas is a much better body puncher than thurman.
That Pacquiao fight was a great, close, competitive fight. It was a SD loss and PacMan was NOT washed up then. He looked excellent. VERY different than the PacMan who fought Ugas.
And while you think Keith is delusional he'll probably get a shot. I think he should have another fight after Barrios (assuming he comes out with the W) before looking to fight for a belt. Not having another fight after Lopez and before Pacquiao after that previous long layoff is what caused him to lose to PacMan imo. Of course, the fight wasn't going to be there if he didn't grab it when he did.
And what effect do you think the terrible form , long lay off with surgeries then nearly KOed by a journeymen Maidana stopped had on Thurman, so where does that put Manny on the night, enough to win, the fight was a reflection of pretty much a washed injury proneThurman that was full of holes and a veteran ATG, you are only better than what you beat, people need to look closely at opponents form before a big fight, the name often distorts things.
